About
With many years of experience in the jewellery industry, especially experience with jewellery production and trade, Elisabeth Koller-Galler (owner CIRO GmbH) bought the traditional brand in 2006.
CIRO continues to produce design jewellery from finely selected materials. The high quality of the CIROLIT and the CIRO pearl, as well as the gold plating, strive for genuine jewellery quality.
Philosophy
CIRO produces design jewellery in genuine gemstone quality. CIRO stones are also called "CIROLIT". Whichever synthesis you choose, we guarantee the highest quality of material and workmanship. Our cubic zirconia (also called triple-A cubic zirconia) has triple AAA-ranking and even to the trained eye has all the characteristics of a real diamond. All our synthesis are available in all common cuts such as ashtray, princess or pear.
The "CIRO pearl" is selected by hand and has a shell core. The surface is made of pure mother-of-pearl from oysters.
CIRO jewellery meets the highest quality standards and ensures aesthetics and comfort. Silver (925 sterling silver) or gold (14 or 18 ct.) is formed in a chilled casting process. Silver pieces are gold-plated to prevent discolouration.

Héritage
The origins of CIRO Jewelry go back to the beginning of the 20th century. CIRO was originally registered as a mail order company in London in 1917. The concept at the time was for customers to detach a pre-print order form from a daily newspaper, fill it out and send it to CIRO along with a money order. Only three years later, in 1920, CIRO opened its first shop in London's Bond Street, one of the most expensive shopping streets in the metropolis. As a tribute to the brand's original ordering system, CIRO today runs its webshop with much love and care.
With the CIRO pearl - the first shell pearl in the world - the company laid the foundation for an almost 100-year tradition in 1917. Shell seed pearls did not exist back then and real pearls were very expensive. The CIRO pearls are handpicked and consist of a shell core. The surface is made of pure mother-of-pearl from oysters. This made the CIRO pearl the first attractive and inexpensive alternative to the very popular "real pearl". While other cultured pearls came onto the market over time, CIRO was already the market leader in the early 1920s.
Due to newly emerging technical possibilities, CIRO introduced the "CIROlit" in the 1970s. The CIROlit - a triple AAA-ranked zirconia (also triple A cubic zirconia) - has, even to the trained eye, all the characteristics of a real diamond.
By the 1990s, CIRO prescribed more than 150 shops worldwide, including over 50 in the USA. To this day, the company continues its reputation as a leading manufacturer of high-quality art jewellery in sterling silver, yellow or white gold-plated, combined with CIROlit and pearls.
